Asahikawa Winter Festival

     The Asahikawa Winter Festival (旭川冬まつり, Asahikawa Fuyu Matsuri) is Hokkaido's second biggest winter celebration after Sapporo's Snow Festival. The celebration happens over a week in right on time February, about the same time as the Sapporo Snow Festival. Henceforth, it is workable for winter guests to visit both celebrations on the same trek as the two urban communities are just a 80 moment train ride separated from one another.

     While Asahikawa will most likely be unable to gloat having Hokkaido's greatest winter celebration, it unquestionably has one of the greatest snow figures.
